There is no such thing as a mediocre LJ Shen book especially in the Sinners of Saint series. BANE has everything we have come to expect in a gritty, broken, and emotional tale of men young ladies should avoid at all costs, but simply cannot.
Roman is such an unapologetic bad boy: a criminal and purveyor of trump seediest parts of society. He has his burdens of youth, slowly peeled back as his guard falls. Jesse has experienced the worst by the age of 17. It’s got all the angst you could hope for, but Roman is really funny at times, too. LJ Shen makes these characters so real with flaws that would cause most of us to reject them out of hand, but we get drawn in as we come to know them.
You will never be disappointed reading an LJ Shen book. This one will satisfy your need for a savior.
