Book 2 of the Belluci Mafia Trilogy begins about a month after Book 1 ends. Our impenetrable Gabriel shuts Alexis out because he can no longer trust her for leaving him and taking Harry. Alexis is on the run trying to stay under the radar.
But the one common theme in this group of people is no one can be trusted except the baby. Don’t call anyone for help, don’t use your real name, pay cash, and always have more than one way to exit so you can escape.
Gabriel works to keep the mafia safe from the street wars and keep his legitimate businesses viable. He is not going to let anyone close to him again, yet he cannot resist Alexis. Alexis seems willing to trust and go out on a limb for everyone except Gabriel and I have to say I love her personality but want to slap some sense into her on more than one occasion.
The cliffhanger, while expected, is especially painful, Nicole Fox, because I MUST know how this turns out as soon as possible.
