First to Lie by Marie Johnston

This story grabbed me from the first paragraph.  I can honestly say there wasn’t a single dull or wasted moment in it, either.

We all know deception never works very long in these relationships.  It is only a matter of what happens when it hits the fan and gets uncovered.  In this story, both Wes and Mara have reasons not to trust people and their reasons fuel the deception.

But, the heart wants what the heart wants, and even though they believed they were being deceived, they still could not forget what they felt with one another.

I was really pleased and surprised at what Wes did at the end of the story to resolve one of the issues with Mara.  FIRST TO LIE is a great read and it looks like Wes’ good friend Flynn is the subject of the next book in the series.  He is such a manwhore that it should be good, too.
