Blame It On The Champagne by Fiona Cole

This going to be a fun series with Vera from this story finding her “one” in Nico, and her best friends Raelynn and Nova clearly set to blame their romance on alcohol in the subsequent installments.  The three of them are wild and fun.  Nico realized early on he needed Vera’s girls on his side as much as Vera.

This is a story where the family companies and legacies are central.  Vera is to have an arranged marriage to gain a good man to run her family company.  She is to be a woman that listens to her husband, bears children and dies charity work.

But she wants to run the company herself.  Because they won’t let her she goes to work for Nico’s company.

There is quite a bit of lying, subterfuge, trickery and betrayal. It’s a well crafted tale that drew me in.  Nico and Vera have chemistry up the wazoo.  Nico is my favorite kind of alpha - protective, guarded and a talented dirty talker.  Vera is a vixen and she stays smart and true to herself.  You’ll love this book.
