Liam and Ethan move into a house next to January and Wednesday in Duck Falls. Both Liam and January have the personal idea to keep neighbors in the friend zone. Liam has come to find a mate, however. January somehow gets recruited to give him a run down of his dates so he navigates them best he can.
The first thing I like about this story is that Liam and January are in their late 30’s. Few good romances are written for older adults, especially older single parents. The second thing I like about this book is that they know what they want and tell one another. Lastly, when Liam goes on a date, if he isn’t interested in a second date, he tells the woman right there! No “I’ll call you” followed by no calls.
So, the romance and the conflict between what each person wants in the relationship keeps us turning the pages. Will one or the other revise what they want in a relationship to make it work? You’ll have to read the book to find out.
