MOURNING WOOD was extremely fun to read. I don’t know who was funnier - Wyatt or the 6 year old Prissy, but they both had stellar moments. The unique quirks the author gave Prissy made for a character that could bring out more of our Wyatt’s endearing qualities.
The chemistry between Wyatt and Whitney defined both Wyatt’s singular focus at making these two girls his family, but also highlighted the insecurities Whitney carried from her teenage pregnancy. They were dynamite together. Wyatt was a shameless tease, loved to rile Whitney up with his “adult” talk, and did everything with unabashed enthusiasm.
If you like hot, steamy romances with tight families and people that feel real, you will enjoy MOURNING WOOD.
