I was searching for a “penpal romance” when I came upon A LOVER’S LAMENT and was so glad I read it. The pen pal part did not disappoint, but it was the outstanding story that evoked such vivid emotions tied to Katie and Devin’s tumultuous lives and almost missed romance.
If you love a second chance romance with a girl and the guy who was her first, you will love this story. The circumstances under which she writes to him after 10 years is opens an unexpected window into his life and how her returns impacts it.
