This is the first book I have read by Jessica Hawkins and it left a great impression on me. The tension between Beau and Lola was smoking hot. The contrast with the tension between Johnny and Lola was palpable.
The first book ends after the night Beau paid for, but several things that arose during their encounter made me think we were in for something very calculated to materialize that answered some questions about Why Beau chose to spend his only night with Lola the way he did.
