Each book by Jagger Cole seems to be better than the last one. FORBIDDEN CROWN is one of the best because of how well Bastian Pierce is portrayed. He is completely irreverent and has no patience for fools. He’s the last type of personality one would expect for a prep school professor, so I thought he was great.
Julianne has one case of bad luck after another with a stalker, a father on the run from the law, a sorry excuse for a mother - for starters. Despite all that, she catches Bastian’s eye at the same time he catches hers.
While this is just fine as a standalone, you really don’t want to overlook the other three books of the Savage Heirs series. The Spotify playlist is also sets the mood.
