I can’t really say I “enjoyed” this book because it is sad. It deals with grief - the guilt associated with it, and living with the aftermath. It is powerfully written. It was an impressive story built on original ideas.
There wasn’t a single wasted character. Each one took a role in the path Tate and Charlie had to take. They gave the path its features from easily navigable to almost impassible. We keep waiting for their paths to cross and level off so they can walk the rest of it together. That pulled me through the story.
It’s a dark read with some really good humor throughout and a romance we want to see happen.
