With her planned marriage in shambles, Liky goes to Hawaii with her girlfriends on what would have been her honeymoon trip, meets a charming, handsome man and has a one night stand. They didn’t exchange info so imagine Lily’s surprise when she finds out this guy is her new boss.
I liked this book because these two people really wanted to be together but kept talking themselves out of it because of the parts of their lives that weren’t going well. There is a lot of going forward one step, then back two in the relationship and the author does a good job making the reader feel confusion and frustration that comes when this couple want to be with other…but not always at the same time. It’s a good workplace romance with some interesting twists.
