I’m a big fan of the Canton girls. So far Sadie was hovering in the background, not as much a party of the family and company as the rest of the girls. In THINGS I WROTE ABOUT we find out why and I was moved by what Sadie and Shep’s journey over 16 years did to them.
I didn’t “like” how the story made me feel most of the time. That’s good writing. The choices Sadie and Shep made at various times in their lives had me angry and disappointed in them. That didn’t stop me from turning the pages.
It is a compelling story that I won’t forget any time soon. And that ending!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
