Yeah, it’s not your typical Christmas book, but A MERRY LITTLE MEET CUTE is fresh, clever and romantic.
I went into this book knowing very little about the plot and characters, and that was the way to go because each little gem revealed as the story unfolds is appreciated for its quirkiness, or passion, or cleverness. What I liked most was the diversity in the cast of characters and the resistance to treat peoples’ differences as anything other than natural.
A little bit of a tweak at the sweet Christmas movie genre also makes this a fun book. They are as much one of my guilty pleasures as a steamy story by Sierra Simone and Julie Murphy.
