I haven’t read a book by Leah Bruner before, but hockey romance?? Yes, please.
DESIRE OR DEFENSE is such a good book with heartache and healing in a grumpy/sunshine pairing with gruff, broken hockey star Mitch and grieving, nurturing, and feisty Andie and her younger brother Noah.
Hockey brings them together but they each fill a void in the others’ lives. Combine that with the brotherhood of an NHL team (and some quirky teammates), growing friendships, and healing from traumas of the past and you have a well written story that I wish there were more ready for me to read. Could not put this one down. Well done.
