ONE AND ONLY will be classified as a fake marriage trope, but it is a story of families and a lesson in coparenting. Beckett is the reserved single dad that lives for his young daughter. The story is about him getting to have her live with him full time for a year and he gets a chance to be the dad he wants to be. He is the kind of guy you would conjure up as the perfect man for his heart alone.
Greer is powerful, full of energy and selfless. They are such opposites personality wise that neither thinks the other is “their type”. Her family is dealing with trauma of a different kind. She meets Beckett through her brother, his teammate.
There are some poignant moments and I dare you to keep a dry eye. The passion is what I would “struggling to harness” and their dance of romance is so entertaining.
