The chemistry between Dominic and Ally was so hot from the beginning. I loved this book for the laugh out loud moments, for Ally’s sassy, “take no BS” attitude, and for Dominic’s sweet heart buried beneath his gruff exterior.
Dominic has so many reasons to protect himself. He doesn’t even realize it. But when he meets Ally and really sees beyond her almost combative facade, he can’t help but want to do anything for her. He even worries about her eating enough because at times she does have to choose between eating and her family.
Ally is amazing. She can’t be brought down no matter what happens to her. She always finds a way and wants nothing more than to do it in her own. She won’t accept anyone’s help, especially Dominic’s.
I was on the edge during the whole story. The author makes the reader feel the characters holding back when they don’t want to. She makes us really care about what grips Dominic from the past and drives Ally in the present. You will love this book.
