Foolish Dare by Mika Lane

This was not a bad story.  Smitt was hot, sinister (when necessary), and the guy you loved to hate for a lot of the story.  Dare was a fiery independent woman.  The circumstances that brought them together gave Smitt the upper hand.  He was dismissive of Dare and she was quite angry and mouthy (the verbal kind) with him.

I didn’t feel the emotion - not the hate, the infatuation,  the fear (when necessary) or the steps leading to love.  I wanted to feel more anger on Smitt’s part when Dare was treated wrong.  I wanted Dare to let us feel her internal conflict with Smitt and his role in her life.  The plot opportunities were there, but not taken advantage of, in my opinion.
