Knocked Up By The Boss

This story had some interesting twists and was unique right from the start with Bridgit starting out on her own for the first time without the benefit of her family’s wealth.  What made her do likeable was that she never felt sorry for herself for the circumstances that left her without a home or money.  She had never worked before, but she didn’t quit when things got tough.

Andrew was also unexpected.  He was quite involved in his business.  When Bridgit was hired as his secretary, he noticed she was struggling with the simplest tasks for the job, but once he knew a little about her circumstances, he helped her learn what she needed.  He could have taken the easy way or given up on her, but he didn’t.

The had good chemistry they couldn’t resist but as with these boss/employee things, both unsure how to characterize the relationship without overstepping.  The inevitable misunderstanding from the past causes the couple to separate, and I just had to keep reading to see what would happen next.  It was an enjoyable book.
