This is the third book in the series and the last book about Dimitri and Roxanne. I was glad to be able to read this book right after book 2 and the story picked up seamlessly.
Roxanne was in danger and Dimitri had to find her before they killed her and/or the baby she was carrying. The most astonishing parts unfold where Fien is being held. Roxanne is taken there and fights, tries to run, etc do they won’t harm her baby.
Dimitri realizes along the way that his relationship with Roxanne has triggered some of the tragedy so he does what any mafia alpha does to protect his woman - pretends like he doesn’t care about her.
It’s a never a dull moment kind of book. It’s got all the mafia standards: killings, warehouses, body disposal, ambushes, rival families, a terrible father, clandestine medical care and some really loyal under bosses. I was hoping Rocco’s story would be next, but Maddox is next. What about Smith???
