This novella was a nice look into what was going on with Elena and Julian and their first Christmas with baby Layla. The authors packed a whole lot into a small space. It was steamy. It was suspenseful. People were shot. There was jealousy. All this and they get decked out for a fundraising gala the day before Christmas, too. Some full length novels don’t get through this much action.
The ending is a surprise and very important for being ready for the next book in the series.
