This is such a dark, debauched series and I love it. Just when I thought they did their worst in the first book with Grace and Montgomery, Hensley and Black conjure up some new Trials to stretch Portia and Sully’s limits.
What I also liked about this book was that even though it is a series where all the men will go through the rituals to join the order, Sully’s story was different from Montgomery’s in important ways. The book was just as compelling and I could not stop reading it, but it is clearly taking good writing to put different men into the same situation and have their story be unique.
If you like your romance dark, decadent and, at times, demoralizing you need to read BEAUTIFUL LIES.
