That Guy by Kim Jones

It’s been awhile since I have enjoyed a book this much.  The story is solid.  Jake is the perfect ripped, successful, possessive alpha.  He’s a dirty talker and he’s not just talking, either.  Penelope is a loose canon in the best way.  She stirs things up no matter the circumstances.  Her character is the one that evokes the widest range of emotion from the reader, from laugh out funny to heart broken.

I was hooked from the first paragraph.  The premise of the story - that Penelope was looking for her muse to base a male romance novel character on - was also dealt with impressive skill.  It was like they were trying to live in a romance novel but not quite hitting the right formula.

If you like romantic comedies it is hard to go wrong choosing this book.  You will enjoy the few hours of escape it provides.
