Stroke of Midnight -a Cinderella novel by K. Webster

This book sets my Kindle on fire in a very dark way and Winston Constantine is responsible.  He finds Ash and uses his unlimited wealth to encourage her to participate in his dark carnal arts.

This book has some seriously vile villains and Winston’s obsession with Ash has resulted in her being rescued from them more than once.

I love a possessive, obsessive alpha hero and Winston has played that role to perfection.  Ash fights her way out of vulnerable positions or Winston intervenes to protect her sometimes making it worse.  She is strong and willful but does get overwhelmed and Winston has a way to deal with that, too.

This book ends on particularly tenuous note and we are left to wonder who is the hero and who is the villain?  The second part of the story is PRINCE CHARMING and any wait to read it is too long.The
