BROKEN BEGINNINGS is the story of Julian Moretti’s second in command, Lucca. Lucca moves next door to Claire’s house when Claire is a child and due to circumstances there assigns himself as her provider and protector although she doesn’t know it until she’s 16.
I love serious protector books like this one where Lucca tells Claire if a man even touches her he will kill them. Claire is a strong, sassy girl that pushes his buttons. She is attracted to him but he tells her she feels like his little sister.
But then she turns 18 and things change. So, you will really enjoy this story as you see how Lucca’s role in Claire’s life gets murky, how Claire is impulsive and ends up creating unintentional consequences, and people who didn’t know what love was when they were younger try to find happiness.
