There were things to like about this story including the basic idea and the descriptions. There was a good opportunity to incorporate the storms into the story (especially the second one).
The story was not put together very well, however. There wasn’t sufficient explanation for why things happened, and events or people came up out of nowhere as convenient. For example, investor meetings happened at the drop of a hat, the first steamy scene had no foundation, and there was no reason for Cade’s PA to make a mistake about Emma’s profession. By far, the most difficult thing to keep track of was all this going back and forth between the island and Hibiscus Bay.
The banter between Emma and Cade is good and I liked how the story ended.
