First, this is three books put together. The first two are about Roque and Romina and their lives from the time he was 15 and she was ten. They both kept journals of their lives which play an important role throughout the stories. The third book (THE NUMBER 2 GUY) is about Roque’s second in command, Johnny, and Christine who he thought died in Roque and Romina’s story.
A large portion of SAVAGE POET related events from the past. Their time together is always brief but intense. Romina is always hiding out somewhere, so she lives a very unstable life. There are so many tests of their love for each other - including tests when they haven’t yet admitted they love one another. These times are like angst on steroids, but they keep us turning the pages seeking that glimmer of the HEA.
