THE CHAMPION is a second chance romance that took my breath away. The story was unique, but also well written not a word was wasted. From the very first page, Sloane Hunter held my attention and took me along for a very rocky ride of a return to one’s first love.
The list of secondary characters is long, but they way they were developed made them each memorable. The mood of the book was carried through these characters that had largely felt betrayed, were mean, jealous, or sympathetic and supportive of Liv. She was like an outsider in her own hometown yet couldn’t bring herself to leave. The relationship between her and Keegan was based on past events know one had the full truth about.
This was a really moving and romantic story. You might need a tissue or two, but the way it turns out is so worth it.
