This author takes the time to tell a story with all it’s ups and downs, all the complexities of the relationships between friends, lovers, family, etc.
Best of all, the conflict of the story could be real and it isn’t resolved in a fairy tale manner. Avery and Jim had a lot of love for one another but even that love had to weather the storm of their complicated lives.
So I laughed, I cried, I got frustrated when they wouldn’t “listen to me”, so it’s a great book to set aside time to read and enjoy.
