The First Time We Met by Jo Lovett

How poignant is it that this story starts out with Izzy and Sam meeting the love of their lives on the very day Sam was getting married to someone else?  It felt like two lives destined for a lifetime of regret and heartbreak.

But life marched on, paths crossed, and it became a matter of what could a love endure?  It was no longer just about Sam and Izzy even though they never done more than exchange emails and a kiss in 14 years.

I liked the story and I was glad it never had the feeling of either Sam or Izzy being unfaithful.  They could easily have been selfish, but they each put other people before themselves.

It was a good story that hit all the romantic notes amid the anguish of unrequited love.
