Who doesn’t love the Navy SEALS or Army Rangers and romance? None of these guys enter our world unscathed when through the rigors of war or the mistakes of early life.
Cody is the latter. The discipline he learned in the SEALS not only led to a satisfying military career but enabled him to use his considerable skills in the private sector.
In this story he encounters Cate who is trying to escape a drug lord husband. She’s on everyone’s radar including the US Government. Cody intervenes at a crucial time and from that point has to either trust his instincts or do as the higher ups tell him. Annabelle is a curvy girl, btw. I am one myself. That’s why I wonder if the use of “thick thighs” is to stoke the flames or douse them with water.
He is attracted to Cate from the get-go. Because of that discipline we have to wait for him to crack and give in to the passion. It made for a slow start for me. The suspense and action are really good and the $10,000 question for everyone is “who can I trust?”
