BROKEN HALO is a good second chance romance because Trig and Ellie aren’t starting from zero when they meet again after 10 years - they are deeply in the negative territory. Being young lovers an angry father discovers starts the fires of anger and betrayal.
It’s a good story starting at the point where Ellie’s no-good husband was killed and Ellie sees Trig for the first time when she faces accusations.
The couple does not easily succumb to their attraction and that’s one of the things that makes it a good second chance book. They are not getting along at the same time they are looking out for one another.
