MIDNIGHT OATH is the story of how Adrik Tasarov, soon to be don of the Tasarov family, crosses paths with Emery and her daughter and the fallout that commences.
There are clearly many secrets to be revealed and the seeds that lead us to the answers (or more secrets?) are planted throughout the first part of the book. No one trusts who they should trust, and they suspect who they should suspect of bad deeds.
What will be puzzling is how taken Adrik seems to be with Emery’s daughter. He is kind, indulgent and tender with her. He does everything he can to make her life good. But at the back of our minds we keep wondering if he is really diabolical enough to use Isabella to get Emery’s compliance by threatening to spoil her then take everything away when he’s done with them.
So the keyword in Book 1 is trust as in who can you trust? We’ll see.
