One of the Novellas in this book Is from the dark duo of C. Hallman and J.L. Beck called DAMAGED HEARTS. This starts out very dark - abuse, human trafficking and the like. Julie is the victim of some soul shattering treatment.
Felix enters Julie’s life when she needs care the most. From this point we slowly see Julie’s shadows erased and we learn more about what forces Felix to push her away and remain alone.
It’s a short story that is compelling to read from start to finish. There is the potential for it to be released as a longer story and I would read it. I received a free copy of this book via Bleeding Heart Press and am voluntarily leaving a review.
