THE BOSS reunites Leo and Abrianna. Leo broke up with Abrianna 5 years back and it broke them both. He did for her safety, of course.
As the oldest brother of the Carfanos, Leo took over the leadership after his father and uncle were killed by a rival mob. That put a target on his back and that of any woman he was with.
What I liked about this book other than the reunion itself is how we find out little by little just how much Leo really stepped away from Abrianna. We learn about how they coped being apart and how much trust could be restored.
The book also has the overarching theme of revenge and the mafia doings that lead to brutal interrogations, loose lips, rooms with drains in the middle of the floor, and shady warehouses on the docks.
The book is told in the dual POV. It is second-chance-love steamy and I enjoyed it.
