Dominic the grumpy boss meets Darcy the sassy employee in his new company. Sparks fly, verbal battles ensue, possessive interventions occur and meddling parents almost spoil it all.
SINCERELY, UP YOURS adequately characterizes the exchanges between Darcy and her boss who makes it no secret he is looking for a way to fire her. Not because she’s incompetent, though, and that’s what makes the story take off.
Managing parent expectations and coming out from underneath them is one of the themes of this enemies to lovers, boss and employee romance. I don’t think I even looked up from the book to see what was going on around me until the 60% point. It kept my attention because it is funny and romantic.
