I read a lot of mafia stories and I gave SCANDALOUS PLEDGE 5 stars because it had such an other worldly feeling when it comes to mafia romance. Alex and Nadia loved each other forever, so when we see how much she hates him and tries to get on with her life without him, it’s intriguing.
Then we meet Alex and he’s got an almost robotic personality that only seems to let loose around Nadia in a steamy way. Combine that with the dead bodies, guns aplenty, patricide, rival mafias, and unusual sibling dynamics and it was a real page turner. Loved it!.
