GUARDED DEPUTY is the small town romance between an elementary school teacher and a sheriff’s deputy that just moved there from the big city.
What I enjoyed about it most was Lizzy’s internal dialogue. She’s funny and has this dry humor that matches how she always seems to end up with some kind of mishap. She’s never down on herself and Nate needs her light to brighten his life.
The romance has a couple of minor bumps and the big plot events are interesting. It’s an easy story to read.
