The Tryst by Lauren Blakely

Layla is an ambitious and grounded young woman intrigued by an older man from London she meets at a business conference in Miami.  Their attraction is instant and even knowing they will both go their separate ways, the have THE TRYST.

It would be a short book if that’s all that happened, of course.  I loved it because they tried but couldn’t forget one another.  When they met again, the circumstances made them choose to fight their attraction.

It’s a very good story with a passionate, poignant romance amid the success and creativity of a young woman wanting to make her own way even though she didn’t have to.  The plot twists were excellent and done with enough angst to be interesting without being tedious.  I look forward to Finn’s story in The Tease.
