You would think HAPPY PLACE might be a happy story, but it’s a melancholy friendship saga with an agonizing second chance love. It takes place at a “cottage” in Maine where there characters get together once a year. So the time they spend there makes them remember their happy times.
It’s a well woven and well written book that I didn’t want to put down mostly because I wanted the longing to end well, and the friends to find their fit as they grew older.
I really love Emily Henry’s books, and this was an emotional read.
