THE BROKEN PROTECTOR is high on mystery and suspense. It has the vibe of a creepy small town with perfection on the outside and something sinister behind the scenes.
Delilah is one tough cookie. After the first incident, normal people would turn tail and run (short book, though), but she sticks it out despite the constant prickles of danger. Lucas knows things as a citizen of Redhaven and as the local police officer. His protective instincts are on “high” when it comes to Delilah. This story has trouble written all over it.
As a steamy, small town suspense/mystery, I really enjoyed THE BROKEN PROTECTOR for it’s atmosphere, story, and descriptive writing.
