I didn’t read the other books that go with ASPHODEL, but now I would. It is an intriguing story of a super reserved alpha, Angelo and his young contract wife Friya. Angelo has crime boss and adult club owner written all over him. His reason for having to marry Friya is a little weak, in my opinion, but she has been perfecting her ability to avoid notice, and that is foiled by her marriage to a prominent family.
The writing is rather formal which adds to this icy walled off atmosphere Angelo has and we turn the pages wondering what it is that is going to make him break - if anything - when it comes to Friya.
