THE CHRISTMAS DRESS is a woman’s fiction book with lively romance, magic, community and interesting prohibition era historical references taking place in Chicago. It is very much a contemporary story about a community of people living in a run down historical building.
Meg leaves her fashion career in NYC when the building is left to her by her father. She meets the elderly residents, one of whom gives her a beautiful dress with the caveat she wear it for the first special occasion that comes along. So we start to suspect there is more to this dress than meets the eye and as the story unfolds we see what Christmas magic comes to mean for each person.
