Attachments by Rainbow Rowell

I loved ATTACHMENTS for so many reasons. It’s Lincoln’s story of fulfillment, unrequited love and growth. I enjoyed it a lot, too, because it was written at the turn of the century and Lincoln was tightly wound up in the millennial bug situation as the IT guy at the newspaper. So much to relive about that time is sparked by Beth’s movie critic life.

The writing was done so well, easily blending the important parts of Lincoln’s past by staying in the present. The email exchanges between Beth and her best friend Jennifer drove much of her story, but I loved how their lines never quite crossed completely until they were supposed to.
