When I chose THE SLEIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS to read I noticed it was classified as “New adult/college” romance - a category I normally avoid. The story is told in a dual timeline and the part in the past is when Thatch and Serena are 19-20 years old.
The main story takes place some 22 years later and the two are so wrapped up in child and family issues they forgot to nurture their relationship, so the book is the circumstances that force them to act while on the annual family holiday retreat at “the cabin”.
