At first I wasn’t sure I could like Rhy or Dylan. They were both characters written atypically for a romance. In WILDEST DREAMS, the fairly typical “two damaged people” scenario plays out, but initially in a way we don’t have much sympathy for either of these two.
So the path to convincing us they were going to be worthy of our time reading their story was a bumpy one, and that’s what eventually sets the book apart from so many others. It’s a book where both main characters have to do the work to be rewarded with a happily ever after.
