I wouldn’t have thought Carrie and Owen would be such a great couple. In enemies to lovers fashion, Carrie realizes all the teasing, joking and sarcasm from Owen is covering his insecurities. This is particularly ironic because he is asked to help her overcome the insecurities she has so she can get a guy to date her.
Owen comes off a textbook boss hole. He’s gorgeous and knows it. He’s arrogant and snarky, too. But when the layers get peeled back we see something very different and very vulnerable.
Yes, this book made me teary. That doesn’t happen often. I love how the problem ultimately gets solved - but that’s all I’m going to say about that. Enjoy the book, then wait with me for Lucas’s story.
