The Secretary in this story is cabinet member, Secretary of the Interior being guarded by a US Marshal because of serious threats.
It’s a great story. First, the slow burn is a delicious tease as Cara and Mike both try to hide behind their walls of professional conduct.
The suspense part of the story was a clever idea - giving us a real mystery about who was killing people, threatening Cara and providing compromising information.
The book is romantic, features a protective theme and is passionate. I enjoyed it.
