NEVER SAY FOREVER has a creative plot, interesting but not intrusive secondary characters, and primary characters that have great chemistry.
I was completely into the story from the first chapter which describes how Fee and Carson had one night five years ago and now they were crossing paths in New York with the weight of their memories and secrets. Carson has the most layers to be exposed, some of which are quite debauched. Fee has a few skeletons but her main flaw is being a bit too much of a hand wringer.
There are some really funny moments, and some really steamy ones, too. Alam does a good job making the four year old Lulu into a real handful. She’s precocious at times, older than years others, and serves interrupt those private moments and ask questions like “What are you two doing?”.
So, it’s great for a love story.
