Hayes is one of the most interesting and endearing leading men and Tali is one of those women with no filter in the best way. The witty exchanges between these two are so well crafted. The humor is intelligent and fun.
But the story itself is captivating. With the writing, we can feel the barely restrained tension between Hayes and Tali. Both having their reasons for protecting themselves.
It’s been awhile since I read a story that made me cry for more than a few pages. It was so easy to adore these characters and feel both their heartbreak and their love for one another.
