This is really such a clever story. You have the whole beyond quirky Peterson family and their pumpkin farm traditions. You have a bodice ripper Josie wrote in her diary as a teen - a romance between a pirate named Reece and his pirate girl Josie. Finally, you have a modern day swoon worthy single dad that is just the kind of guy that Josie needed to show her how special she was.
This is a sweet romance, with lots of humor, family drama and talented storytelling.
